I worked in a reaserch project at the UPRM Chemistry and General Engineering departments.


Description of career experience (what I learned):

Currently I’m working making thin films of biopolymers that could be used to preserve foods without harming the enviorment.


What is your perception of agriculture now?

Is the basis of our civilization and as a growing community.


How has this career experience broadened your employment opportunities?

I have used instruments for the characterization of the thin films and learned lots of concepts that are handy in the industry.


Career and research aspirations:

After graduating I hope to find a job where I feel that I’m doing something good and for the progress of humanity including USDA.


Skill Set:

Bilingual-English/Spanish-computer literate-Office 2010-NMR experience –Thin films preparation.


The impact of my career experience:

My experience has awaken the posibility of entering graduate school and had give me skills that are valuable on the industry of material science and environmental

protection. One of my career goal is to have at USDA. I want to contribute to expand scientific knowledge that will result helpful to sustainable agriculture.
