I worked with the Dra. Laura Lopez at UPRM with Alfalfa plant and the uptake of Zn (Zn release from de wash solution of rubber used to clean contaminate waters in
olaboration with Dr. Oscar Perales.
Description of career experience (what I learned):
I worked in the lab with Alfalfa plants in a hydroponic system. I learned how to use a microwave digestion system and, the ICP-MS and the AAS instruments.

Agriculture is an essential part in all societies. We as future researchers and farmers need to help promote and expand the opportunities and knowledge related to the field of
How has this career experience broadened your employment opportunities?
I learned how to cultivate plants in hydroponics and how to use them in research to evaluate the impact of nanoparticles in agriculture. The project this has given me the
experience to involve myself in research and helped me see what I can aspire to be in the future.
Career and research aspirations:
In the next 5 years I see myself in the course of finishing my PhD. In the next years I hope to develop myself more as a researcher and professional. My goal is to land a job
as a researcher in the ARS, TARS (Mayaguez) or to work in a University as a professor or researcher.

impact the field of agriculture with myfuture reseach projects.
